My review:

The Eat Clean Diet Recharged book is an updated and revised plus larger version of the original Eat Clean Diet book. It has new recipes and has a great selection of various tips such as an entire chapter on breakfast, the power of water, shopping clean and much more! Although I have cut down on fast food restaurants, I like the fact that Tosca added a quick section on worst, best and alternative choices to some foods at the most popular places like McDonald's, Taco Bell, Subway and more.

The testimonials throughout the book are inspiring and I can't wait to try out some of the recipes in the book because they sound great and look quite yummy like the Asian Noodle Bowls (p.374) or the Paradise Island Bean Burgers (p.343). The pictures in this book are beautiful. I like the variety of meal plans and I was excited to see there is a vegan and gluten free meal plan (although I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, I have been intrigued by those lifestyles). Most of the info in this book is similar if not the same as the original but there is much more.

Clean eating is about eating food that is more natural, not processed. I personally have been especially interested in how to become more environmentally conscious when it comes to animal protein and I like to see Tosca focus on this in her book.

The original Eat Clean Diet book book was where I originally learned the basics of clean eating aka eating healthy. Even though the books are called The Eat Clean Diet they are more about a true lifestyle change and not a 'diet' like you would think of such as Atkins, etc. It takes discipline to follow a truly clean diet and although I still haven't managed to master it, these books have really given me the guidance.

My review:

This cookbook has amazing graphics and so many of the recipes sound and look absolutely awesome. There are over 150 recipes plus hints and tips along with nutritional value per serving and even alternatives if you don't have certain products on hand. Some of the ingredients seem like they may not be easy to find so that would be the only downside for me.

The recipe chapters are as follows:

Breakfast
Soup
Grains
Sauces, Spreads and Salsas
One-Dish & Easy Meals
Proteins
Vegetables
Pasta
Sweets & Breads
A Festive Occasion

I want to try the Eat-Clean Hummus (p. 137) and the Tofu Cabbage Rolls (p. 185). Oh my do these look good!

My review:

This cookbook is huge! Once my coffee table is cleared off this cook book will take center stage. The photos in this Eat Clean cookbook are stunning and my mouth waters every time I open up this book. Like I mentioned earlier some of the ingredients might not be easily accessible to everyone or a bit over the top and things you wouldn't normally have in your cupboards. But with that said, there are still many recipes in this cookbook that I would love to try and have earmarked quite a few pages. The recipes in this book have prep time, standing time, cook time, number of servings, tips and nutritional values. This cook book is truly "simple yet exotic".

I am thinking the hibiscus tea (p.314), high-energy mocha protein bars (p.301), Moroccan Pumpkin soup (p. 150) and bison chili (p.163) would top my list of recipes I would like to try.

My review:

The Eat Clean Diet for Family and Kids book is a lot of fun. This was the most recent Eat Clean Diet book I received to review and although I thought it really wouldn't be a good fit for me because we have no kids at home, I was totally wrong. I love the recipes in this book (and I might even be able to cook some of them!) I really like how Tosca has taught families to get on the eat clean bandwagon. She doesn't want just you to eat healthy but for you to also show and teach your family they can do the same and enjoy it. If you are a mom or dad, you really should have a copy of this book on your shelf. I will say this book has more teaching in it than recipes but I still enjoyed it very much.

There are a few of Tosca Reno's books that I have not had the pleasure of reading yet such as The Eat Clean Diet for Men, Eat Clean Diet Workout, Eat Clean Diet Companion or the workout journal but hopefully I'll get a chance to share those with you down the road.

Tosca Reno is a bestselling author, columnist, motivational speaker, reality TV star, radio personality, fitness consultant, mother of five and wife. She wears many hats and has inspired millions to achieve their weight-loss goals and improve their lives. Tosca has appeared on Extra TV (she is one of their Lifechangers), Fox & Friends, The Doctors and many top rated morning TV and radio shows nationwide.

These are my personal reviews on the Eat Clean Diet collection of books. I purchased the original Eat Clean Diet book but the remainder have been sent to me for review.
