My review:
I was given the
Superfoods For Dummies book
to review and found it to be a thorough book full of great information. This book teaches you the
importance of superfoods, why you need them and how best to shop for and prepare them. You'll find a
complete list of superfoods in this book and learn how to incorporate them in to your
life. You'll find everything from fruits to nuts, exotic superfoods and more. This book
even takes you through the steps of how to grow your own superfood garden. The last few chapters in this
book have recipes: breakfast, main dish, side dish, snacks, appetizers and desserts.
The variety of superfoods highlighted throughout the book is amazing. I have been reading a
lot of food blogs and many of them mention the superfoods I have read about in this book and now I have a reference
where I can easily look up the benefits of many superfoods.
I have always enjoyed the "For Dummies" series of books because they are easy to understand and you
don't have to read the chapters in order. The authors of this particular book, Superfoods for Dummies seem
very knowledgeable and the book definitely encourages me to want to eat more healthy, try new foods and overall
improve my health. It's times like this I wish the Dummies series of books were in color. It would be
great to see vibrant and colorful pictures of all the superfoods.
After reading through this book I learned that superfoods help to fuel the body and have many other
benefits. I might even be able to manage a few of the recipes or I'll pass them on to hubby for him to
prepare.
