7 Ways to Avoid Holiday Weight Gain
It's sometimes hard to stay motivated to stick to your diet and exercise routine throughout the holiday season.  Holiday weight gain is something many people are worried about and I'm here to share seven ways you can avoid it.
1) Think about the consequences ahead of time.  If you overeat, you'll most likely gain weight.  When
you overeat, you get that sick feeling, where you feel too full which is not fun.  Don't overeat and
you'll feel great.
2) Be sure to keep up with your exercise routine.  You'll have more energy to get through the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  Fall and winter walks outside are beautiful.  Don't forget your camera because
you never know what you'll see.  It's a change of pace that will do you good.  But if in-home exercise
is what you prefer that's fine too.  There really is no excuse not to exercise in some form during the
holidays.
3) If you stick to your healthy eating and exercise routine, you'll teach your family new healthy habits
and be able to spend more time together.
4) Journal your daily exercise and eating habits so you don't fall off the wagon.  If you already have a
journal, you can look back at how far you've come and that will help you stay on track.
5) Plan a special treat for yourself like a pedicure, hair cut, or massage if you don't overindulge during the holidays.
6) If you are doing all you can to eat right and exercise during the holidays, just think of the example
you are setting for others.
Just think if you follow the seven tips above, it will help you avoid holiday weight gain and you'll feel great about your accomplishments.

In The Kitchen

I found this recipe from Prevention and it sounded really good to me.  I think we might try it next week.
