Mix It Up-Exercise Made Fun
Do you get bored with the same daily exercise routine? If so, it's time to mix it up! You
will definitely want to choose a variety of workout routines if you easily become bored and
frustrated by doing the same thing over and over. I have personally found that I am
more willing to stick to my 5-6 day weekly fitness routine by mixing it
up.
There are many great workouts that anyone can do. Everything from in home walking, swimming, jumping rope, to a stroll outdoors, an exercise class at
a local gym or YMCA and so much more. For me personally, one day may consist of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds in home workouts and
the next day may be Turbo Jam or Kathy Smith's Kickboxing workout or I may choose to
do some rebounding (mini trampoline). In the evenings I might use the stability (exercise) ball or hop on the Gazelle.
Sometimes I incorporate hand weights, weighted gloves or other boosters like an ab belt or stretchy
band into my workouts. I also mow the lawn. There is so much you can do.
Doing a variety of workouts is bound to keep your interest. If you don't own any workouts, you
can always check your local video rental shop to see if they have a fitness section and
rent one or a few. If you don't have the funds to purchase any exercise equipment,
turn on the radio or pop in some energetic music and just get moving.
Another bonus of doing a variety of workouts is that you are targeting a wide range of muscles
and different areas of your body, which is highly recommended by many health
professionals. If you do the same workout all the time, your body will get used to
that and your muscles will stop responding. So to experience growth and strength, you can work the same muscles but
just in different ways. If you don't add variety to your fitness routine, you will
stop making progress.
Keep exercise fun by mixing it up!
